The use of pinch technology to identify industrial heat pump opportunities.
Author(s) : TRIPATHI P., CHAO P.
Summary
The "hot composite curve" represents the summation of heat loads associated with all the streams that have to be cooled, and the cold composite curves represent the summation of all the heating loads. The approach temperature DTmin represents the minimum temperature difference between the hot and cold composite curves at the point of closest approach. The point where the DTmin occurs is known as the pinch temperature.
