THE GOAL OF THIS RESEARCH ISTO ENHANCE UTILIZATION OF THE HEAT PUMP IN THE HEATING PROCESSES OF INDUSTRIAL SECTORS. RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES ARE COMPRISED OF THE FOLLOWING THREE STEPS: AFTER A STUDY OF THE PROPERTIES OF VARIOUS HALOGENATED HYDROCARBONS A NORMAL PENTANE WAS SELECTED AND A POLYGLYCOL SYNTHETIC OIL ; A MOTOR DRIVEN 75 KILOW PILOT PLANT WAS DESIGNED ; ITS COP WAS RANGE 4 UNDER THE CONDITION OF 353 K (80 DEG C) EVAPORATING TEMPERATURE ; CURRENTLY, FIELD TESTING IS BEING CARRIED OUT AT A CHEMICAL FACTORY BASED ON A 500 KILOW CLASS DEMONTRATION PLANT.
