Number: pap. n. 161

Author(s) : DRUGHEAN L., NICHITA M. T., NEGRU?IU C., et al.

Summary

The paper analyzes the influence of liquid subcooling on the performances of an air conditioning system. The nominal refrigeration power is 11.2 kW. The theoretical study was conducted for the next refrigerants: R410A, R134a, R407C, R22 and R32.
The plant’s operating conditions are vaporization temperature 6°C, condensation temperature 45°C, vapor temperature at evaporator exit 13°C. The subcooling of the liquid is done with air in a subcooler. The authors made a comparative analysis between theoretical and experimental results. The experimental stand consists in an air conditioning refrigeration system, type VRV (Variable Refrigerant Volume), which is part of the Thermodynamics and Thermal Equipment Laboratory from the Technical University of Civil Engineering Bucharest. The refrigeration system works with R410A refrigerant.
