Summary
A study of cooling towers was carried out from the energy point of view, showing also the "demand curve" for different parameters, obtained using a computer program, as well as the "characteristic curve" of a commercial tower, obtained experimentally from a test site. These curves can be used as easily to determine the operating level of the tower under various air-inlet conditions as to study its behaviour outside of the operating level for which they have been calculated.
