Summary
The single-stage pulse tube cryocooler built according to the above calculation achieved the lowest temperature of 57 K, and a cooling capacity of 5.0 W at 79.1 K. This performance agrees well with the design prediction. Furthermore, the object-oriented software Sage has been used to simulate the pulse tube cryocooler performance after running the experiment. The results compare well with the experiment and provide the opportunity for further optimization of the inertance tube.
