Type of article: Article

Summary

THE AIM WAS TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM OF NON-COMPATIBILITY BETWEEN THE STEADY OPERATION OF THE HELIUM REFRIGERATOR AND THE PULSED OPERATION OF THE TOKAMAK. A SOLUTION WAS INVESTIGATED USING THERMAL BUFFER FILLED WITH HELIUM AND OPERATING AT A CONSTANT VOLUME AT ABOUT 4.5 K. TO CALCULATE THE BEHAVIOUR OF THE THERMAL BUFFER, THE AUTHORS PROPOSE A MATHEMATICAL MODEL CONSISTENT WITH EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS.
