THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY OF EXPANDED PERLITE INSULATION AT LOW TEMPERATURES.

Author(s) : PASTOR L.

Summary

THE EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS OF THE THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY OF EXPANDED PERLITE IN COMPARISON TO THE THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY OF OTHER POWDERED INSULATION MATERIALS USED AT LOW TEMPERATURE ARE GIVEN. THE MINIMAL VALUE OF THE THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY OF 2.232 X 0.0001 W/M.K, FOR MEASURED VOLUMETRIC MASS OF 83.4 KG/M3 ENABLES ONE TO SUPPOSE THAT IT IS POSSIBLE TO USE POWDERED EXPANDED PERLITE AT HELIUM TEMPERATURE.
