Summary

THE EXPERIMENTAL DATA ARE COMPARED WITH THE CALCULATIONS OF THE THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY OF INERT GASES BETWEEN 90 AND 273 K BY CHAFMAN-ENSKOY'S METHOD AND BY A QUASI-CHEMICAL METHOD. THE USE OF THESE METHODS, FOR OBTAINING A CORRECT DESCRIPTION OF THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY SHOWS IT IS NECESSARY TO ALLOW FOR THE CORRECTION OF DENSITY NEAR THE PHASE TRANSITION ZONE INDUCED BY THE REAL PROPERTIES OF GASES.
