Type of article: Article

Summary

A NUMBER OF PURE AND BINARY LIQUID DROPS EVAPORATING ON A FLAT PLATE WERE TESTED BY OPTICAL METHODS. THE DIFFERENCE OF BASIC EVAPORATION CHARACTERISTICS BETWEEN THE PURE AND BINARY LIQUID DROPS IS REVEALED. THE ANALYSIS OF THE INSTABILITY OF THE INTERFACIAL FLOW FOR BINARY LIQUID DROPS IS MADE AND THE SURFACE PHASE MECHANISM OF THE FORMATION OF FLOW PATTERNS IS PRESENTED.
