INDOOR ICE RINKS OFTEN HAVE CONDENSATION PROBLEMS IN THE ROOF CAUSED BY RADIANT HEAT TRANSFER BETWEEN THE ICE AND THE ROOF CEILING, WHICH CAN ALSO ACCOUNT FOR 25% OF THE TOTAL COOLING LOAD. USES CASE STUDIES ON TWO DANISH INDOOR RINKS INVOLVING COMPUTER MODELLING TO HIGHLIGHT THE BENEFITS FROM SHIELDING OR COVERING THE CEILING WITH A FABRIC OF LOW EMISSIVITY.
