Thermal study of rotating disk evaporator application to a flat flake ice maker.
Author(s) : ABID M. S.
Summary
Developments in the field of icemakers are especially concerned with improving the thermal and mechanical performances and minimizing the energy cost. The work described here is concerned with the design and the study of a new type of rotating disk evaporator for flat flake icemakers. First, the author designed and calculated the rotating disk evaporator. The different thermal and mechanical parameters were studied. Finally, a rotating disk flake icemaker was manufactured.
