THERMODYNAMIC ANALYSIS OF AIR DRYING PROCESS ON A COLD SURFACE.

Summary

THE AIM OF THE PAPER IS TODETERMINE: THE EXERGY USED FOR COMPRESSION REFRIGERATING MACHINE USING REVERSIBLE CYCLE BETWEEN SURFACE TEMPERATURE AND SURROUNDING TEMPERATURE ; THE EXERGY BALANCE ; THE EXERGETIC AIR DRYING EFFICIENCY FOR THE CASES WHEN HEAT AND MOISTURE TRANSFER BETWEEN AIR AND COLD SURFACE COULD BE APPROXIMATED WITH FULL TURBULENT MIXING. IT IS SHOWN THAT FOR EACH AIR STATE CORRESPONDS AN OPTIMAL SURFACE TEMPERATURE WHEN EXERGETIC EFFICIENCY MAXIMUM FOR MOISTURE EXTRACTION FROM AIR IS ACHIEVED.
