Summary

THE SMALL ABSORPTION REFRIGERATION UNITS WORKING WITH NH3 AS REFRIGERANT AND H2 AS ABSORBENT USE H2 AS NEUTRAL GAS TO EQUALIZE THE PRESSURE DIFFERENCE OF REFRIGERANT IN THE DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE UNIT. THE DESIGN OF THE UNITS REQUIRES THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE THERMODYNAMIC AND TRANSPORT PROPERTIES OF THE MIXTURES. THE PRESENT WORK CALCULATES THE CORRESPONDING DATA OF THE REAL MIXTURES H2/NH3 STARTING FROM THE DATA OF THE REAL COMPONENTS H2 AND NH3 BY USING THE SECOND VIRIAL COEFFICIENTS NEEDED. THE RESULTS ARE PRESENTED IN THE FORMS OF DIAGRAMS FOR A TOTAL PRESSURE OF 25 BAR.
