Thermodynamic equations for water-lithium bromide solution covering a wide range of concentrations.

Summary

The paper discusses the thermodynamic representations of the vapour-liquid equilibrium properties of water-lithium bromide solution which is currently being used extensively as a working fluid in the absorption refrigeration/heat pump systems. The authors report accurate bubble-point pressures of water-lithium bromide solution whose concentration covers not only a range of practical importance but also diluted concentrations. Thus, the thermodynamic equations which represent the thermodynamic properties for a wide range of concentrations have been developed on the basis of the reliable measurements. Effective range of these equations is extended from 10 to 75 mass% in concentration and temperatures up to 487 K.
