Summary

ADSORPTION DATA WERE OBTAINED FOR METHANOL ON THREE SAMPLES OF COMMERCIAL ACTIVATED CARBONS. THE DUBININ-ASTAKHOV EQUATION FOR ADSORPTION IS USED TO LINEARIZE DATA AND TO PREDICT REFRIGERATION CYCLE EFFICIENCIES USING THESE COMBINATIONS. FOR SOLAR CYCLES, ONE OF THESE COMBINATIONS PRODUCES A BETTER PERFORMANCE THAN THE ONE USED AT PRESENT IN THE ORSAY PROTOTYPE.
