Summary
These proceedings contain 40 papers (12 in French, 28 in English) presented at this IIR-co-sponsored seminar held in Nancy, on July 6-7, 1998. The main sessions dealt with: thermodynamics and modelling of machines; heat and mass transfer (falling films; boiling and condensation); experiments and alternatives (experiments on machines; alternatives to vapour compression machines); characterization and augmentation of heat transfer; dynamics of machines and systems. The articles will be abstracted in a future issue of the IIR Bulletin.
