Summary

Thermography is the science of detecting and measuring variations in heat emitted by an object and transforming them into visible images. It is a rapidly developing technology for diagnosis and non-destructive testing in many applications. This article illustrates applications where thermography can be used in the heating, ventilating, and air conditioning arena. Finally, the article suggests issues to consider when establishing in IR thermography program or when contracting with others to perform the service.
