A REPORT ON THE GENERAL METHODOLOGY USED IN ESTABLISHING < EXPERT SYSTEM > IN LOGISTICAL ORGANIZATION FOR OPERATING LARGE PUBLIC COLD STORES. THE AUTHORS SUMMARIZE THE STAGES OF A LOGISTICAL APPROACH TO THE SERVICES OFFERED TO CLIENTS, WITH THE AIM OF IMPROVING PRODUCTIVITY. THIS IS DONE BY ANALYZING THE PRODUCTIVITY OF EACH MOVEMENT OF MERCHANDISE, THEN BY ANALYZING FLOW PATTERN AND ITS GENERAL ORGANIZATION. THIS SHOULD IMPROVE PRODUCTIVITY, REDUCE THE TEDIUM OF WORK, AND IMPROVE DESIGN AND MANAGEMENT OF NEW WORK STATIONS OR NEW ESTABLISHMENTS. THE AUTHORS PLAN TO DEVELOP THIS TYPE OF ANALYSIS, ALONG WITH SOFTWARE THAT CAN SUPPORT THOROUGH ANALYSIS AND DECISION MAKING. J.R.
