Summary

Transposing several directives of the European Community into French law gave the opportunity to amend the regulations related to minimal safety requirements, concerning the use of working and production equipment by workers. That is, in particular, the subject of decrees 93.40 and 93.41 of January 11, 1993. By January 1, 1997, all machines and operating equipment will have to comply with the technical requirements established by a decree of January 11, 1993. The first step of setting this in conformity was June 30, 1995.
