Summary
Food safety and quality are the main requirements of consumers. Traceability therefore concerns everyone. Recently, service companies and/or professional sectors (potato, biological cereals, meat products) have started to offer traceability tools. European Food Law establishes the principles of food traceability that must be implemented by January 2005.
