The content of SPS (Sanitary and Phyto Sanitary) and OTC (technical obstacles to trade) are presented in relation to international trade of foodstuffs. Foodstuff quality issues and the inadequate consequences of quality are discussed. Finally, recommendations and conclusions are provided.
