Summary
Perforated plate matrix heat exchangers are used in a number of applications such as helium liquefiers, Joule-Thompson cryocoolers operating with pure fluids and mixtures, etc. The time taken for cool down of cryocoolers is very critical in many applications, for example, those used in mobile applications (e.g. missiles). In the paper the authors study the effect of different parameters on the transient response of perforated plate matrix heat exchangers.
