TRANSPORT REFRIGERATION UNITS WORKING UNDER HUMID CONDITIONS.

Summary

THE REFRIGERATION POWER OF REFRIGERATION UNITS PRESENTED IN THE CATALOGUE IS THE NET COOLING POWER UNDER DRY CONDITIONS. DURING COOL DOWN OF HORTICULTURAL PRODUCTS CONSIDERABLE QUANTITIES OF MOISTURE CAN BE DEPOSITED ON THE EVAPORATOR COIL, WHICH LEADS TO FROSTING OF THE COIL. THIS MEANS, THAT THE AVERAGE NET REFRIGERATION POWER, WITH THE DEFROST CYCLE INCLUDED, DECREASES REMARKABLY. MEASUREMENTS ON A UNIT HAVE BEEN DONE ACCORDING TO THE BASIC TEST PROCEDURES. RESULTS INDICATE THAT THE EFFECTIVE REFRIGERATION POWER DECREASES TO ABOUT 70% OF THE MAXIMUM POWER UNDER DRY CONDITIONS.
