TRENDS IN HEAT PUMP DEVELOPMENT.
Author(s) : STEIMLE F., SCHULITZ B.
Summary
ABSORPTION HEAT PUMPS AND HEAT TRANSFORMERS OFFER GOOD ENERGY SAVING FOR MANY KIND OF APPLICATION IN DOMESTIC AND INDUSTRIAL HEATING. ONLY A FEW ABSORPTION HEAT PUMPS WITH AN OUTPUT OF ABOUT 10 KILOW ARE RUNNING IN EUROPE AND THE TECHNOLOGY OF HEAT TRANSFORMERS STAND AT THE BEGINNING OF DEVELOPMENT. TO OPTIMISE THE SORPTION PLANT, IT IS NECESSARY TO SEARCH FOR NEW WORKING FLUIDS. THE PRESENT PAPER REPORTS ABOUT AN EXTENSIVE EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH PROGRAMME WITH THE AIM TO FIND NEW WORKING FLUIDS. IT PRESENTS THE SELECTION PROCEDURE AND SOME RESULTS IN FORM OF EQUILIBRIUM CHARTS, SOLUBILITY DATA AND CHARACTERISTICS DATA FOR THE MOST INTERESTING WORKING FLUIDS.
