Summary

Solvay Fluor & Derivate, recently retroffited one of its refrigeration units in the Hannover research department to replace R502 by Solkane 507, an azeotropic blend of HFC-125 and HFC-143a. The unit serves to cool distillation columns and chemical reactors. During the retrofit operation not even one vital piece of equipment of the unit neeeded to be replaced.
