IN NUMERICAL INVESTIGATIONS IT HAS BEEN CUSTOMARY TO USE THE FORMULA DUE TO GRABER WHICH GIVES A TURBULENT PRANDTL NUMBER FOR A FLUID RELATED ONLY TO ITS MOLECULAR PRANDTL NUMBER AND BETWEEN LIMITS. THE AUTHORS PROPOSE AN APPROACH IN WHICH THE PRANDTL NUMBER IS DEDUCED FROM THE NUSSELT NUMBER WHICH IS MORE EASILY MEASURED FROM EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS. D.W.H.
