Two-phase flow instabilities in a horizontal system.

Author(s) : GAVRILESCU C. O., KAKAC S.

Summary

The effect of augmentation on flow instabilities is studied with three tubes with different inner surfaces at five different inlet temperatures. All experiments have been carried out at constant heat input, system pressure and exit restriction. Steady-state characteristics of the system composed of different tubes are found and presented in pressure-drop versus mass flow rate curves. The working fluid is R11. Results are given.
