TWO-PHASE SEPARATED FLOW IN THE CAPILLARY TUBE.

Author(s) : KROLICKI Z.

Summary

THE AUTHOR PRESENTS A MATHEMATICAL MODEL FOR R12 TWO-PHASE FLOW IN A CAPILLARY TUBE. IT TAKES INTO ACCOUNT THE OCCURRENCE OF BUBBLES IN THE FLOW AND OF DIFFERENT VELOCITIES OF THE VAPOUR AND LIQUID PHASES. THE MODEL IS COMPLETED BY RELATIONSHIPS DEFINING THE PHYSICAL PROPERTIES OF THE REFRIGERANT (HEAT IN NON-ADIABATIC FLOW, FRICTION COEFFICIENT AND CORRECTION FACTOR FOR SOME CASES OF FLOW). HE COMPARES THE RESULTS OF A THEORETICAL CALCULATION WITH TEST DATA AND SHOWS THE POSSIBLE USE OF THE MODEL FOR THE SELECTION OF THE CAPILLARY TUBE OF AIR CONDITIONERS AND HEAT PUMPS.
