Thermodynamic imbalance in throttling flow of refrigerant-oil mixtures in capillary tubes.

Summary
Literature data on liquid superheat at the onset of evaporation and during two-phase flow were compared with measurement results. It was seen that the contradictions in much data can be attributed to divergent flow conditions. Flows of pure R134a were studied, along with R134a-oil mixtures in concentrations up to 10% oil mass, and the influence of the oil on the thermodynamic disequilibrium.
