DESCRIBES COMPARATIVE EXPERIMENTS OVER 6 MONTHS IN A HOSPITAL TO DETERMINE THE BACTERIAL CONTENT OF WATER SUPPLIED TO SPINNING DISC HUMIDIFIERS FOR ROOM AIR HANDLING INSTALLATIONS TO DETERMINE TO WHAT EXTENT THE REQUIREMENTS OF DIN 1946, PART 4, ARE MET BY DISINFECTION BY ULTRAVIOLET IRRADIATION. CONCLUDES THAT HUMIDIFIER WATER DIRECTLY AFTER ULTRAVIOLET IRRADIATION MEETS THE REQUIREMENTS OF DIN 1946, PART 4, AS LONG AS THE WATER HAS BEEN DISINFECTED IN UV-FLOW THROUGH INSTALLATIONS. (INT.
