Summary

Subjecting water to ultraviolet rays is a natural disinfecting technique that is particularly appealing because the water remains free of any additives and other substances which react chemically with water. Ultraviolet disinfection is at least the equal of chemical disinfection in safety and cost. The need to disinfect the water recirculated in spray humidifiers will receive increased attention due to hygienic concerns over germ propagation through pressurized sprays. L.P.
