Understanding psychrometrics.

Author(s) : ASHRAE, GATLEY D. P.

Type of monograph: Book

Summary

A proper knowledge of psychrometrics is invaluable to any meteorologist, HVAC engineer or system designer, yet many newly qualified engineers have little or no training in this fundamental discipline. This text constitutes a complete course in psychrometrics, in the form of a four-hour learning module that is comprehensive and easy-to-use. It includes definitions of basic psychrometric terms, all algorithms required for psychrometric calculations, conversion factors, and comparative data for ideal gas calculations and Hyland and Wexler NIST formulations. The algorithms can also be input into computers or hand-held programmable calculators to aid engineers in their work.
