THE EFFECT OF MOTOR SPECIFICATIONS ON THE STABILITY OF AN INVERTER-FED INDUCTION MOTOR IS INVESTIGATED EXPERIMENTALLY. THE RELATION BETWEEN UNSTABLE PHENOMENA, AIR GAP LENGTH, ROTOR RESISTANCE AND ROTOR INERTIA IS STUDIED. A METHOD FOR PREVENTING AN INCREASE OF UNSTABLE PHENOMENA IN INVERTER-FED COMPRESSOR MOTORS IS PROPOSED.
