Summary

AN INVESTIGATION OF THE TEMPERATURE VARIATION IN THE REINFORCE D CONCRETE FRAME (WITH EXTERNAL OR INTERNAL INSULATION) OF A COLD STORE AND ITS UNSTEADY HEAT STORAGE. THE RESULTS SHOWED A WIDE DIFFERENCE IN THE HEAT STORAGE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE STORE WHEN USING INTERNAL OR EXTERNAL INSULATION, THE LATTER BEING THE BETTER SOLUTION. THE CALCULATED RESULTS FOR THE HEAT FLUX AND TEMPERATURE IN THE CONCRETE FRAME WERE REASONABLY IN AGREEMENT WITH THE EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS.
