Summary

The goal of the "PEGASOS" study, which was commissioned by France's Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries and Ministry of Education, Training and Research, is to assess the scientific and technical information available electronically in France in agriculture and the agro-food industry and its use by the audience concerned. A description is given of all French electronic information products, data bases, CD-ROM, and teletext and Internet services. A qualitative and quantitative comparison was done with competing foreign products. The complete text of this document comes with a volume of appendices.
