Summary

METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS GREATLY INFLUENCE ENERGY CONSUMPTION BY AIR CONDITIONING PLANTS. THE WIDESPREAD USE OF AVERAGE MONTHLY DATA AND MEAN VALUES CAN LEAD TO GRAVE MISTAKES IN ASSESSMENT. THIS PAPER SUGGESTS USING THE CHARACTERISTIC AIR CONDITIONS SELECTED IN A RANGE OF SUMMER-TO-WINTER DESIGN CONDITIONS, IN WHICH FREQUENCY IN INDIVIDUAL MONTHS WOULD BE DETERMINED.
