USE OF PRESSURE EQUALIZING VALVES IN COLD ROOMS.

USAGE DES SOUPAPES D'EQUILIBRAGE EN CHAMBRES FROIDES.

Author(s) : PATIN A.

Type of article: Article

Summary

THE PAPER DETAILS THE CALCULATION OF PRESSURE EQUALIZING VALVES AND DISCUSSES THE INVOLVED PARAMETERS, OF WHICH SOME ARE NEGLIGIBLE AS, FOR INSTANCE, THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN EXTERNAL AND INTERNAL PRESSURES. IN ADDITION, IT IS ADMITTED THAT THE VARIATION OF INTERNAL TEMPERATURE IS ABOUT 4 K / H (4 DEG C / H), I.E. APPROXIMATELY 0.001 K / SEC (O.001 DEG C / SEC). ALLOWING FOR THE ADMISSIBLE SIMPLIFICATIONS, A SIMPLIFIED FORMULA IS SUGGESTED FOR THE EQUALIZING FLOW RATE, INVOLVING ONLY THE VOLUME OF THE COLD ROOM AND ABSOLUTE INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL TEMPERATURES. SOME DATA IS GIVEN FOR SAFETY AND THE LIMITS FOR USE. A.G.
