Use of solar energy in absorption dehumidification and adiabatic cooling.

La déshumidification par absorption et refroidissement adiabatique avec l'utilisation de l'énergie solaire.

Summary

New architectural trends, characterized by large glass surfaces and the growing use of electrical devices causes non-comfort conditions in living spaces, thus necessitating the use of air-conditioners. The most common ones currently on the market have the following disadvantages: presence of CFCs in the refrigerating circuits; high energy needs; high noise levels. The authors present an air-conditioning plant that uses an absorbent solution for air dehumidification and the adiabatic cooling process. The selection criteria of absorbents is presented. The regeneration of the absorbant through solar energy is being considered.
