THE AIM OF THE STUDY WAS THE COMPUTER-ASSISTED MODELLING AND SIMULATION OF HERMETIC RECIPROCATING COMPRESSORS, AS THEY ARE USED BY THE DKK SCHARFENSTEIN COMPANY. THE RESULTS OF THE SIMULATION CONCERNING A DETAILED ANALYSISOF LOSSES, IN PARTICULAR THOSE OF R134A, ARE PRESENTED.
