THE AUTHORS ANALYZE AND COMPARE THE UTILIZATION OF DIFFERENT SECONDARY ENERGY SOURCES AND NON CONVENTIONAL ENERGY SOURCES (SOLAR, GEOTHERMAL). THE CAPACITY WHICH IS PRACTICALLY USABLE, POSSIBLE AND ECONOMICALLY RATIONAL IS FOUND TO BE 5 BILLION OF GJOULES PER YEAR. FINALLY, THEY INDICATE IN TABLES THE ENERGY PARAMETERS, INVESTMENT AND OPERATING COSTS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF COLD IN AN AIR-CONDITIONING SYSTEM, USING A COMPRESSION REFRIGERATION SYSTEM AND A WATER-LITHIUM BROMIDE ABSORPTION REFRIGERATING PLANT USING SOLAR ENERGY.
