Type of article: Article
Summary
Presents a thermal system and analysis design tool for buildings, called QUICK. Its thermal load predictions were validated using inter-program comparison for 46 case studies. After implementing a cooling coil analysis procedure, gives two case studies where various cooling strategies and control were combined to evaluate possible reduction in cooling coil size and energy consumption. As much as 60% of the cooling coil energy could be saved.
