Summary
The key behind any advanced use of dynamic simulation for improving the operation and control of a cryogenic air separation unit is a model which accurately represents the process dynamics of the distillation columns and heat exchangers in the separation unit. The paper represents the results of an extensive plan of plant testing and model validation of dynamic simulation models of commercial air separation units.
