Summary
Samples of frozen soils have been studied to titrate the mineral and organic nitrogen. The variations obtained are of the same order of those in non frozen autumn soils in Central Norway. After some days at room temperature, the mineral nitrogen content of the thawed soil increased. The preparation of samples is very important.
