Summary

The heat and air-particle loads in the production areas of factory buildings are largely determined by the type of air circulation installed. Thermal currents can be used to remove heat and air particles emanating from the production line, provided that treated air is introduced into the working area directly and carefully, in order not to disrupt those currents. Concepts for load-reducing air-flow systems using laminar flows and area-specific mixed flows have been developed and tested in the laboratory.
