Virial coefficients from isochoric measurements for R236fa, R236ea, R32-R134a, R32-R236ea, R125-R236fa, and R134a-R236fa systems.

Summary

The authors' PVT data, obtained within a reduced temperature range of 0.73 to 1.03 and within a pressure range of 33 to 4127 kPa with a constant volume apparatus in the superheated vapor region for two pure fluids (R236fa and R236ea) and four binary systems (R32-R134a, R32-R236ea, R125-R236fa, and R134a-R236fa), are used in this paper for virial coefficients evaluation. Second and third virial coefficients of pure compounds and cross second and third virial coefficients are calculated with correlating methods taken from the literature and compared with the authors' experimental data. In addition, the influence of differences produced by the correlating methods are discussed. The contribution of the third virial coefficient to the residual molar volume corresponding to the experimental data is also discussed. In general, the consistency of the experimental data with the figures calculated with the correlating methods used is within more or less 0.03 L/mole.
