Summary

Experimental results for the vapour-liquid-equilibrium (VLE) of the ternary mixtures R134a-R125-R32 and R134a-R143a/R125 are presented. First, the five equimolar binary mixtures were examined at temperatures between 30 deg C and the critical temperature of the respective mixture. Using a cubic equation of state, it is possible to describe the binary mixtures with deviations less than 0.5%. Using the interaction coefficients obtained for the binary systems, the VLE of both the ternary mixtures can be calculated. To check these results, VLE-data of five ternary mixtures with different compositions were measured. The vapour-pressures are predicted with deviations less than 0.6% without using a ternary interaction coefficient.
