Summary

The air conditioning system for an office building of an original design is described. Each office has its air handling unit, installed in a plant room at its floor level including a variable speed fan, a filter, cooling and heating coils, fresh and recirculated air supply and delivery of treated air. The air ducts are small and directly manufactured on site. There is a chilled water production unit with a thermal storage device in the form of ice on each floor. The equipment is very accessible. The autonomy of the units makes the offices sanitarily independent. The public places of the building are subjected to a centralised technical management. J.L.
