Volatile organic compounds, indoor air quality and health.
Author(s) : MOLHAVE L.
Type of article: Article
Summary
Review of the causality criteria defined by Henle-Hock concerning the relation dose-reaction for exposure to volatile organic compounds in indoor air at low concentrations, health and comfort. Proposition of a biological model of human reaction based on the sensorial perception of the environment, the low inflammatory reactions and the reactions to the constraints of the environment. No data contradicts the relation of causality considered. Recommendations are proposed for non-industrial environments and for limit exposure values.
