Summary
Water cooled screw chiller was developed for large size cooling capacity needs. Using 3 or 4 compressors expanded our lineup and 9 types of screw chillers ranging from 185 to 370 USTR were developed using refrigerant HFC-134a. This cooling capacity range has been usually covered by using turbo chillers until now. These screw chillers were developed to compete well with turbo chillers in points of efficiency and even size. The screw chiller adopted flooded cooler and flash tank economizer to achieve more efficient operation. Consequently, COP of these products were able to range from 5.0 to 5.2 and become very compact. And COP in part load operation has good characteristics too.
