COMPRESSOR FAILURES ARE OFTEN FOLLOWED BY FURTHER FAILURES AFTER REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT, BECAUSE OF FAULTS WHICH LIE WITH THE SYSTEM. SYSTEM FAULTS ARE USUALLY TO DO WITH INITIAL DESIGN OR POOR INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE. THESE GENERALLY CONTRIBUTE TO LIQUID REFRIGERANT OR OIL RETURN TO THE COMPRESSOR, REFRIGERANT MIGRATION TO THE OIL SUMP, CONTAMINATION, OVERHEATING, OR ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS.
